Pensio has quietly been on the Mac for a while, because Apple offers iPad apps on Macs with Apple silicon. But it behaved like a stretched iPad: phone-sized tabs across a wide window, and a blank screen with a spinner on every click.
Now it behaves like it belongs there. On a Mac you get the same side menu as Pensio in a browser, the text reads at the same size as in Safari, and the page fills the window instead of leaving wide empty margins. Clicking a link changes the page in place while the menu stays where it is. There is a menu bar too, with keyboard shortcuts: ⌘N starts a new entry.
Everything else is the same Pensio, with the same journal and the same account, and Sign in with Apple works as it does on your phone.
Get Pensio from the Mac App Store, or update it, and press ⌘N.
