What's new

A calmer Pensio, easier to read

The whole app has one quieter look: fewer boxes, your words on the page, and a Dashboard that opens with your year.

Pensio had slowly grown boxes inside boxes. Every screen drew them its own way, and Memory and People felt like a different app from the journal. I wanted to open Pensio and simply read.

So the whole app was redesigned, screen by screen, with one rule: a card goes on something you choose or open, and its name sits on the page above it. Headings are never bold, and your own words are shown on the page with no box around them, at a comfortable reading width.

The Dashboard was rebuilt rather than tidied. It opens with your year: a ring of twelve months where the thickness is how much you wrote and the colour is how it felt. Under it you see only what has something to say, so on a quiet day the page is short, and that is the finished page. And every confirmation now says what you lose and what you keep, instead of asking if you are sure.

Nothing in your journal changed. It is the same writing, easier to read.

Open your Dashboard and point at a month in the ring, or tap it on a phone.
