What's new

You choose whether Pensio's AI reads your journal

Before any of your words reach an AI, Pensio now asks, names the companies that receive them, and lets you change your answer in Settings.

Pensio's page that asks before its AI reads anything: what it gives you, the companies that receive your words, and the buttons Turn on Pensio's AI and Not now.

When I come back to Pensio, the part I come back for is what it reads back: the feelings in each entry, my weekly reflection, Explore, and writing down what I said or photographed. To do that, my words leave Pensio. The privacy policy always said where they went, but the app never asked first.

Since October 13, it does. The next time you open Pensio, a page shows what Pensio's AI gives you, which companies receive your words, and what each feature sends. Each company is set to keep nothing, and nothing you write is used to train a model. Then you choose: Turn on Pensio's AI, or Not now.

Not now is a real answer. Pensio is still your journal: you write, record and mark how you feel, and nothing is sent to an AI. Where the AI would have answered, a quiet note says why the space is empty. Your recordings are kept, and written down once you turn it on.

You can change your mind at any time, in both directions: open Settings, then What it reads, and find Pensio's AI. Turning it off works from your next step, and what the AI already made for you stays.

Connecting your own assistant to your journal is asked for on its own screen, and this choice does not change it.
