Lock Pensio with Face ID on your iPhone

Turn on the app lock, and Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode opens Pensio on your iPhone or iPad, even when the phone is already unlocked.

The person most likely to read your journal is not a stranger. It is someone who picks up your phone while it is already unlocked. The Android app has had a lock for a while, and the iPhone and iPad needed one too.

Since October 3, they have it. Turn on the App lock, and Pensio asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode when you come back to it. You choose whether it asks straight away or only after a few minutes away. And when you switch apps, the app switcher shows Pensio's name instead of your writing.

What it is not: a way to sign in. It locks the app on that device and never replaces your password. If a new face or fingerprint is added to the device, Pensio asks you to sign in again before it opens. And it asks only when there is something to unlock: if you were signed out while the app was closed, it opens straight on the sign-in page instead of asking for Face ID first.

Update the iPhone app, then open Settings, then Account, and choose Turn on the app lock.
