Some places in Pensio are three clicks deep: one Settings tab, one Help page, the person I wrote about last spring. I kept wanting to just type where I meant to go.

Now you can. Press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl K elsewhere, or use Jump to anything in the side menu; in a phone browser, tap the search mark beside the bell. Type a few letters and Pensio offers screens, Settings tabs, Help pages, the people you write about, by their name or another name you gave them, and your entries by the title you gave them. Enter takes you there.

It does not search inside your writing or show anything Pensio wrote about it. If what you typed is in the body of an entry, the last row offers to search your journal, which opens your entries with the match in context. While you are writing, ⌘K keeps its usual job of adding a link. The iPhone and Android apps keep their own menu.

Press ⌘K and type settings.
