Each entry lands on the day Apple Journal showed you, even when the file in the export carries the next one.
Photos and voice notes too
Photos arrive in the entry where you put them, iPhone photos included. Voice notes keep their recording and are written down so you can search them.
Nothing lost in silence
Moods, places, workouts and music become a short line of the entry. What cannot come across is named in a report, with the day it belongs to.
Once, and reversible
Choose the same export twice and nothing is brought in twice. If you change your mind, one button removes the import and nothing you wrote in Pensio.

It arrives dated Sunday, not the Monday its file carries, with the photo beside the words and “Calm · Family” as a line of the entry. Pensio reads its feelings in the days that follow.
What you can do
- See what is in it before anything leaves your device
- The export is read in your browser first: its entries, the months they cover, and how many photos and voice notes, before you choose Import.
- Leave and come back
- If an import stops, choose the same export again. What already came across is skipped, and nothing is brought in twice.
- Take it back
- For 30 days, one button removes everything an import brought in and nothing you wrote in Pensio. You can keep the entries you changed since.
How It Works
Export from Apple Journal
On an iPhone: Settings, then Apps, then Journal, then Export All Journal Entries. It saves a ZIP to Files.
Choose the file in Pensio
Your browser reads the export first and shows how many entries, which months, and how many photos and voice notes it holds.
Import it
Entries come across one by one. If the page closes, choose the same export again and it carries on where it stopped.
Read the report
It says what came across and names everything that could not, such as videos, with its day.

Apple Journal stays on Apple devices. Your entries can come with you to a phone or a laptop that is not one.

Once they are in, Explore and search reach all of them, and your most recent months get weekly and monthly insights.

Import now and keep writing in Apple Journal. A later export brings in only what is new or changed.
