Private mode keeps names, feelings and quotes out of your inbox, and it is on unless you turn it off. But it meant your weekly email was one sentence and a button. Private should not have to mean empty.
So the private email now tells you the shape of your week instead. How many days you wrote, how many feelings Pensio found, how many people came up, all without naming one of them. The monthly summary, and the emails that check in when you have been away for a while, work the same way.
What it still does not do: show an emotion, a person's name, an entry title or a line of your writing. Those stay in your journal. The subject line stays just as quiet, so nothing personal sits on your lock screen.
If you would rather read the details in the email itself, you can turn private mode off. Open Settings, then What it sends you, and find Private mode.
